Corsi believes that McCain is in bed with Islamic terrorists (and the Democrats with the Iranians); oil is actually an infinite resource secretly controlled by oil companies and politicians; and that 9-11 was perpetrated by the American government.

He apparently thinks Islam is "a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion", a "cancer that destroys the body it infects", and has been further quoted as saying "RAGHEADS are Boy-Bumpers as clearly as they are Women-Haters -- it all goes together". (He, shall we say, 'distrusts' Catholics and Jews as well.)

Conservatives - including his fellow right-wing commentators at World Net Daily - describe him as a conspiracy theorist, "annoying" and "from the fringe", and have accused him of plagiarism.

He is not a man to be taken seriously and Obama's team is right to dismiss his claims. It seems a bit paranoid to interpret "all means at our disposal" as a not-so-veiled personal threat exposing their malicious totalitarian natures.

Honestly, their response is much less hateful, ominous and chilling than your talk of "lickspittle automatons", "jackbooted apparatchiks" and stopping Obama "at all costs".

I was born and raised in Malaysia, and even I know that certificate declaration of religion should not be taken at face value.

Remember that Indonesia's Pancasila (as imitated by Malaysia's Rukun Negara) explicitly states in its first line:

"Ketuhanan yang Maha Esa", i.e. a supreme god.

This is a country where atheism is not recognised, and therefore atheists have nominal religions.

From the article, I see you've been living in Malaysia as well. So I take it you understand the inherent institutional bias against non-Muslims.

Coming from the Borneo state of Sabah, I know numerous nominal Muslims, who neither practices any of the religion's tenets, nor care. However, they have no qualms putting down their religion as Islam, simply because their parents were Islam, and due to the benefits of being officially one.

Dear Friend,

Let not your heart be troubled. Over the last couple of days the tide has turned. Obama is in big trouble. The media are atwitter about what went wrong. The leftish blogs are discombobulated. The Democratic Convention might be the most entertaining one I've seen in the last 56 years.

Obama crashed and burned last Saturday at the Saddleback Church debate. A couple of polls taken before that event showed a swing towards McCain. The next series of polls are going to cause a real panic in the party.

I'm starting to enjoy this. But then, I've always kinda liked Greek Tragedies.
