"Lord of the Mosquitos"

"It's really difficult because my opinion of the looting is it started with people running out of food, and you can't really argue with that too much ... Then it escalated to this kind of mass chaos where people are taking electronic stuff and all that..."

- New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin

Oh but we can argue with that mayor, there is no justification in looting and stealing, not now or ever. How is it that you as a public servant can exchange moral clarity for feel good relativism and possibly advocate, excuse or permit others to take advantage of another's misfortune and steal the property of others?

One of our forefathers John Adams in his wisdom stated in 1787 that ~

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If `Thou shalt not covet' and `Thou shalt not steal' were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free."

And so now as the city of New Orleans degenerates into anarchy and chaos you have only yourself to blame. You have helped create an lawless enviroment where no man's life, liberty or property is secure and where the strong prey on the weak. You have not only brought shame to New Orleans but have brought shame to our country as well.
