USS Decatur Prepares to Leave Malaysia

I'd really like to take this opportunity to thank all of our brave servicemen and women of the USS Decatur who took the time to visit "Danny's All-American Gourmet Hot Dogs" newest location at "The Beach Club" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It was truly a pleasure to serve those of you who visited and give you a taste of home and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. We're all proud of you!

I'd also like to apologize to those of you who had a bad experience here in Malaysia. It saddens my heart to hear of those who had a bad experience here and found themselves cheated by unscrupulous taxi drivers and such. I was terribly upset to hear of one particular group of our servicemen who ended up paying RM250 (US 68) for a taxi from KL Tower to Chinatown (a distance of only about 3 miles). The normal cab fare for that distance is less than RM10 (US 2.70). This reflects badly on Malaysia and I'm ashamed.

In the future I'd like to ask that any of you visiting to kindly take down the taxi license number in such cases and drop by "Danny's Hot Dogs" and let us know we'll do our best to work together with the local tourist police on your behalf and help to get your money back.

Stay safe, do us all proud and remember to tell all your friends about "Danny's All-American Gourmet Hot Dogs".

Oh, and one last thing... those beautiful girls you see outside the Beach Club... sorry to say, but they are not girls.
