"Those who do business with terror will do no business with the United States, or anywhere else the United States can reach"
"Hamas is an extremist group that calls for the total destruction of the State of Israel. It is one of the deadliest terrorist organizations in the world today."
Like many, I am completely shocked beyond disbelief at how an American president can have the audacity to use taxpayer money to fund a group that the United States and others have labeled a terrorist organization. It is even more disturbing when American diplomats admit that the "humanitarian aid" will be used to pay some of the salaries of Palestinian government officials.
Like many though I'm left with a nagging question... "Why?"
Why are we providing any money to a group commited to our own destruction and the destruction of Israel? Are we so delusional that we somehow believe that dumping more money into this 'blackhole of hatred' we can buy goodwill or peace?
What many in the West including the United States fail to understand is that no amount of "humanitarian aid" will ever foster any good will.
The reason why it will never foster any good will requires a deep understanding of the Muslim psyche.
For the Muslims, "humanitarian aid" is never attributed to be from the United States or from Europe, it is in essense a gift from Allah. It is not the West who ultimately provides for this assistance, it is Allah who ultimately provides.
Muslims sincerely believe that the West is compelled to pay, and that their acquiescence is seen in many respects as their de facto submission to the will of Allah. The fact that America would initially resist in providing "humanitarian aid" and then grudgingly 'give in' sends a a mixed message to many Americans, but it sends a very clear message to the Muslim world.
The message is that America and the infidels "know their place".
As your taxpayer dollars are paid to fund these killers and their ilk, perhaps you can also ask yourself "Why?"
