Pakistani Perfidy and The Wrath of Khan

If it wasn't for the endless extolling of Pakistan and General Pervez Musharraf as our" staunchest ally in the war on terror" by our nation's leaders and the endless mind-numbing praise in our nation's media, one might be led to think of Pakistan as our adversary in the War on Terror based on their actions. The reality is that our dear friends the Pakistanis have and continue to betray us.

Pakistan's military dictatorship led by General Pervez Musharraf continues to maintain a facade of friendship with the United States reaping the rewards of their one-sided friendship all the while impeding and directly working against our overall efforts in the war on terrorism and nuclear proliferation. Doesn't sound very friendly now does it?

As the world now faces the imminent threat of nuclear blackmail from Iran, the one man who can answer the questions the world seeks and help to lift the veil of secrecy concerning Iran's progress on developing their nuclear weapon is Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Pakistan's official response has been to deny all access to Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan citing Pakistan's national security concerns. Our sources now indicate that Dr. AQ Khan who is 71 years old and has failing health has been moved into a "safe house" and provided with additional security with no one being allowed access.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan authorized by General Mirza Aslam Beg supplied the much needed nuclear technology and equipment for Iran to construct their own nuclear weapon.

Last year, General Mirza Aslam Beg explained in chilling detail at how he sees a nuclear weapon equipped Iran as providing for a balance of power in the Middle East.

"...Nuclear deterrence between Iran and Israel has crossed the psychological barrier. Nuclear deterrence between South and North Korea has already been established.... Therefore, the nuclear fault line of the 21st century, now extends from Israel to Iran, Pakistan to India and South Korea to North Korea, while the strategic balance is held by the United States and Europe on one side and Russia and China on the other..."

Both Dr. Abdul Kadeer Khan and General Mirza Aslam Beg are no friends of Israel or the United States. Only last week in a startling revelation former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto revealed that General Beg and and the Director General of Pakistan's intelligence agency sought to attack the United States in support of Osama Bin Laden.

Also last week, Iran sought further advise from Pakistan regarding heading off an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. General Beg advised Iran to make it clear that any attack on Iran nuclear facilities will result in a complete attack on Israel.

Asked how soon Iran might have nuclear weapons, General Beg stated that he is sure "Iran has already had enough time to develop them".

Our sources have indicated that by next month Iran will have constructed five nuclear weapons and will be conducting an underground test to demonstrate their achievement.
